“I interviewed a number of people between the ages of seventy and one hundred in order to better understand what contributes to life satisfaction. Every single one of them has continued working.”*
What is Jivan?
Jivan helps employers create multigenerational workforces by tapping into talent across all ages.
Why did we name ourselves Jivan?
Jivan is the Sanskrit word for life. We believe that a fulfilling life is one where an individual has access to employment opportunities throughout their life.
What is our Vision?
A world where adults of every age group can find employment and make meaningful contributions to employers.
Why are we doing this?
We (the founders - Sujal Kapadia and Jason Manske) have family members who found it challenging to get employment post retirement. As a result, they struggled to feel productive, find purpose, build social connectedness, and learn new skills. When adults of all ages have access to employment, the beneficiaries are employers, society, the economy, and the individuals themselves.
How will we help adults of all ages access employment opportunities?
In two stages.
Stage one: We’ll partner with employers to meet their hiring needs with multigenerational talent.
Stage two: We’ll build an automated, scalable, user-friendly portal that will prepare adults of any age for job-readiness and match them with jobs.
How will we achieve stage one?
We have developed strong partnerships that provide scale and flexibility, including with Eclaro and the Clinton Global Initiative. In addition, the founders have 50+ years of financial services experience and deep relationships across multiple industries.
